Box call or a slate call easy to operate either one you can make all the sounds a turkey does. They dont work as well in wet condition's.

I have used quite a few calls the ones that work the best for me and that I have called the most turkeys in are the gun mount box calls the one I have currently is a quaker cyclone and it is waterproof.
just my two cents

i like to use box calls and mouth calls for long range locating but i use the slate when their somewhat close then i use my mouth call. if you can learn how to use a mouth call do it because they sound the most like a real turkey and they are some much more versitle in the different tones, sounds, and volumes. they are also much much cheaper!

I just bought mine and it is one of the loudest turkey calls I have heard. the little volume knob on it you have to turn all the way to the bottom of the call- as far as it will go

Thanks, I would like to learn to use a mouth call so I might get both a box call and work on my mouth calling.
