Caught a couple last season, matter of fact. Junked my #2's but the double staking held 'em good.

Looks like a starving mangy Sasquatch. I'd guess an MB 750 would do the job

Never had any encounters like that, Jase, and I hope I never will.

Sounds like the Predator movies. Didn't those ugly mugs come to Earth to hunt when it was really hot outside?? I second Tanner's wish that I never experience what you did jase. Although, I think it would be a real "come to Jesus" moment if I heard such a freaky noise!!

LOL. This is a clip out of the movie "I AM LEGEND, according to KKAC on the Arkansas Trappers Asso. forum. He said he put the dvd in and found it.
I'm like him, if I caught one, I'd let one of the Game & Fish officer get it out!!!

I wonder if that thing is related to the legendary faulk monster? :lol

The Fouke Monster was created by one of the old-timers to keep folks out of the woods and away from his still!!!
The company I retired from in Texarkana, Ledwell & Son, was the producer of that movie, The Legend of Boggy Creek. They produced several more including The Bootleggers. Mr. Ledwell played a minor role in The Bootleggers. Charles B. Pierce movies.

Not to sound like I'm trying to prove you wrong, Arkie, but that's not from I Am Legend. I've seen I Am Legend multiple times and it takes place in New York City. There isn't one scene of being near the woods.

KKAC said it is from a scene where he goes into a building and there are critters eating on a dead deer.

Great line, Chief!! Yeah, that's about what a meth head looks like after being up for a week. Nasty, nasty stuff. A lot of press on rural meth labs and such but the biggest suppliers are the Mexican drug cartels. They know how to cook up chemcials as good as American dirtbags but do so in much larger quantities. I think its about time we tell the Mex gov that we're going to start droning the drug cartel leaders just like the towel heads in SW Asia. Just like the movie Clear and Present Danger but out in the open. Time to deep six those MFs (pardon my French) !!

There is alot of rual meth labs around the country. And a strung out meth head is almost bullet proof until he/she runs out of blood. It is a danger equal to rabid animals. Please be carefull on the trap lines and always carry enough personal protection. A .22 is a great dispatch tool, but a .45 might just save your life. I hope everyone is always safe, but its never a garauntee! Good luck

Funny you should mention that, most that know me know that I have a .38 S&W that I wear while camping alone and a .22 while running the traps. Rural drugs have made this necessary. We had one guy's body found not far from my camp with his throat slashed....I don't think the case was ever solved. Being careful and aware of what's going on around you is very important down here, especially when you camp alone as much as I do.

I just watched the movie. That is in a building not in the woods. I am sure it is probably from a movie though. Perhaps he has the name mixed up.

The reason I carry a .454 Casull loaded with 300 grain solids. For the meth heads, I use my Bear .45 acp with 230 grain JHP Golden Sabers.
