has anyone used the online gun auctions before? any feedback on a certain site?! i really dont like buying a gun if i cant hold it firsr cause i am short so many guns are to big for me but the gun i want is a mossberg o/u and no dealers around here carry them .. so i would have to order it and not feel it before i buy it any ways at least if i buy it off line i will get a better price than a gun dealer... thanks all

I never had but my brother in law has a couple of times with gunbroker.com. He said he was really pleased with it.

I bought Mrs Fuzz a o/u 20 gauge in a mosberg a few years back, had it shortend and a limb saver put on it and she loves it, great gun. Sorry I have no idea about on line gun sales

Ski,

I've used gunbroker a few times and have had good experiences each time. Check feedback on sellers before bidding. I find that it pays to make a call to the seller to get more info on the gun rather than trying to do emails.

Since you're in PA check out the PAFOA and huntingpa forum classifieds. You can do a private transaction on long guns within the state. Just find a seller who is close to you and make a deal. For handguns you need to go through an FFL. There are some great deals there at times. I just picked up a nice Rem 700 in 17 Fireball last week off the huntingpa classifieds.

ski your about 5 months too late, i just got rid of my youth model mossberg to a friend, i am a big guy, so i grew out of it before i had my drivers liscence   And i weren't too far away. I personally have not used any of the online sites, but i have several friends that have with great success. Gun brokers and gun runners are the 2 that i hear the ebst reviews from. There are also 2 nice little private shops down by jim thorpe that get alot of used gun traffic, its a little bit of a drive, but you might be able to call and ask what if they have something in particular that you are looking for, and get it for dirt cheap. A couple years ago i got an old spanish made 12 gauge side by side, had a damaged stock and a couple minor blemishes, but i got it for like $125, and after i cleaned it up she shot great, ended up selling her in college though when i was dirt broke for $250  PM me if you want the info for either of those places and i will try to get it to ya
