Well as some or most of you know i have a rather large family with my wife, 3 daughters, and a son and my wife is due in June with our 5th child in our family. Now my three daughters are actually from a previous relationship but they call my wife mom too so we are just one big happy family. Now here is the story. Since thursday my wife has been having a lot of pressure and such with the new baby so the doctor put her on bed rest for 2 days and then sent her back to work on the 3rd day. She makes it at work for a wopping 3 hours and calls me and says that she is coming home and we need to go the ER. Talked to her ob/gyn and they agreed as they were closed. We make it to the ER at 355 pm and wait in the waiting room for 4 and a half hours before being seen! They finally put her in a hallway bed and to top that off they had to make sure her bladder was full to do the ultrasound so they take her into the clean supply CLOSET to do it. At this point i am beyond pissed. I have worked in the fire and ems field for 15 years and have been dealing with hospitals for all that time and have never seen anything like this around here. So after another hour we get a room in the er and then 3 hours later she finally makes it down to ultra sound but I can't go. at this point i am ready to clear this place like a good old fashion bar brawl but somehow keep my wits about me. My wife is in some serious pain. My wife was also an EMT for 5 years and doesn't complain about things so when she said we had to go I knew it was bad and to sit there that long and seeing her in pain just tore me up. She comes back from ultrasound and she says that the ultrasound tech wrote down on a paper the sex of the baby so we could find out together. Of course i am like you already looked, right? my wife says no, so i open it up and it says we are having a BOY!!!! :--D :--D I erupt in a roar that would make any sports team happy!!! I can't belive it another boy! I have to tell you guys that i am blessed. The ultra sound was fine, nothing wrong with the baby and they diagnosed my wife with round ligament pain which should subside in a few weeks. I am sorry for the ramblings but i had to share the news of us finding out what we are having with my other family here on WAT. we were not susposed to find out until next week so i guess sometimes good things do come to those who can wait. Never made it home until after 1 am but it was well worth it. I can't wait for June to get here to meet our son.

Best of all to you and your wife on the new baby. I do know that dealing with the burned out hospital employees can get on your last nerve. Glad Y'all kept your cool. Hang in there.

Thanks for all the thoughts and well wishes guys. Wife seems to be doing a little better. The doctor is keeping her out of work for another week. Again thanks.
