What is the best way to catch early spring beaver castor mound or something else

If ya don't get an answer soon, ya might try reposting this on THE TRAPLINE forum. More folks over there to see it. I don't trap beaver, so I couldn't tell ya myself.

Castor mound, I prefer a big leghold offset a few inches to the side. Mud mound 5-7 or so inches high, 8"-foot or so across. Sometimes a little brush/dead sticks etc to "guide" the beaver over the trap.
