I have a lifetime hunting license, I can hunt in KS as a resident even though I now live in Colorado, this includes small and big game. My question is can I buy a fur harvester license as a resident because I have a lifetime hunting license or would I need to buy a non-resident fur harvester? I know I could look it up but what fun would that be? This way I may get some useful information, and we get to interact a bit, fun is had by all.

That sounds like a question to call and ask there DNR.

And if I hadn't already said it, WELCOME ABOARD!

Welcome to the site Free Range. Sorry, but the furharvester license will need to be a non-resident now. A person can buy a lifetime furharvester, and if you have the means to do so you might give Pratt a shout and see if you can add one since you already have the lifetime hunting license. I don't know if it is possible, but it is worth asking. Good luck.

As an employee of KDWP, I can safely tell you that you will have to get a non-resident furharvester license, the same as you would have to get a non-resident fishing license. The lifetime hunting license only confers residency for hunting purposes, not furharvesting, fishing, voting, or other license buying.

Besides, now you save enough on a Colorado elk tag over us Kansans, to easily afford the non-resident KS furharvest permit!!!!
