Here are the proposed new trapping regs to be voted on at the commission meeting in June at Norton. Among other things, it includes a limited otter season, trap size restriction on land, allowing trap tags using KDWP number, and 330 size body grippers needing to be at least 1/2 submerged.

Well it all looks pretty reasonable to me. I'm a little leary of the law about footholds being over 7" can only be used in water, but we don't have anything to warrant the use of that big of a trap on land. Hopefully the limited otter harvest will pass, that would be awesome.

All proposed trapping related regs passed unanimously tonight. Limited otter season is a go for this coming season.
