congrats on the grinner and good luck with the coon. what type of bait are you using? Those are some nice box traps, just watch those trap pans the coon around here kept bending mine all up so i had to replace them with a heavier guage sheet metal.

mackerls work good but you tend to get the grinners, skunks, and coons. I switched to a sweet bait, mainly marshmellows and it really cut back on the grinners and skunks, and the coon love em. thought i would share incase you want to give it a try and usually the marshmellows are a lot cheaper than the mackeral.

I tried the marshmellars for about 3 to 4 weeks and didnt catch a dang thang and decided to switch just to see what would happen, and i caught something.

I believe some one this past fall mentioned using plain grape Koolaid in their live traps. I bought some but haven't tried it yet.

Stinky stuff will probably land you more possums than coons. Chieftain will probably see this post soon and he has some pretty interesting lure recipes. In the mean time, you could search the old posts for lure or bait recipes.

He was shaking so bad he couldn't stand up. We did good through the storm, didnt do nothing to our place other than blow a leaf off the tree, but our road was on the news saying there was rotation, Thanks for asking!

I've thought about using marshmallows on the line but id eat most of them befor i got out the door. Nice job though Im gettin discouraged lately but the thrill of having a sprung trap keeps me coming back to get the little punk so that he can feel like the dumb one. MUAHAHAHA
