I had a post under "Duke dog proof traps" in the Trapeline forum back in January and finally was able to upload pics....These are two different coons I caught at the same area. The one in the Duke DP I caught after two nights the trap worked awesome!! and the one in the #160 body grip took almost a month but finally got him with a sweet smelling lure and some marshmallows in a cubby set. Now there is two more coons in the same spot. Im trying to hold off till the season starts tho, maybe try to get a few bucks.

Oh yeah I forgot, when I set the DP the 1st time it was set off due to porcupine. I know it was a porcupine because we got pics on a trial camera. So when I reset the trap I did the white styrafoam cup trick and it worked perfectly! I did not cut the bottom out tho because heavy rains were expected that night, i just set it over the trap and the coon tore it all up. So the cup definetly works and I recommend it to anyone using the DP traps. AS for the other coon in the 160 cubby set, he took longer. The log thats in the pic was on top of the cubby and he must of pulled it on top of him when the trap was set off. It was a perfect catch tho, it hit right where it was suppose to.

Good job on the ringtails! I am glad you explained about the log in front of the cubby.
