Shane those are impressive catch pictures. Seems VA has some great trapping areas. Of course my favorites are bobcats and otter, which you did well on but that is one fine looking fox. Welcome to WAT.

Thanks Swamp rat, we still have two weeks left in the season, I hope I can catch a few more before its over. I am absolutely addicted, we have a continuous open season on coyotes, so i will prob leave some sets out for them till turkey season gets here. Man I wish I would have got into trapping when I was younger and had more time. I will definetly have more traps and trapping spots before next year.

A nice variety of critters. I don't think I've seen such a strawberry blonde yote before and your bigger beav was also very dark. Cool!!! Congrats on the first season. You'll be back!!!

I agree with Swamp, Awsome fox!! Nice job also on the cats. Sure one might be small, but the other seams two be short on a leg. That would make it 25% harder too catch. LOL
Great Job!!

Yea NonPCfed the blonde coyote apparently is pretty rare around here, so rare that the furbuyer didnt want it. Man I wish I would have known that and I would have skinned it to mount and sold it to a taxidermist. I saw one on ebay priced for $245.00, that made me wanna puke...lol Im just going to tan it and hang it in my den. I saw a big blonde male during deer season not too far from where I caught that one. If I catch him Ill know not to take it to the furbuyer

Mainly dirthole sets, with a variety of baits and lures, mostly long range skunk type lure with red fox urine. I caught one of the beavers and the otters in a channel type set with a 330, caught the biggest beaver on a slide using foothold and drowning rig. Caught some of the coons in my cat sets using beaver meat as bait, and some of the other coons in my pocket sets for mink. I wasnt exactly targeting coons, but I'll take them. Still got alot to learn but having a blast doing it. I just caught my first mink today, a 26" male. I been after that sucker for three weeks.
