trapperman92, the actuall number i prefer to remain unknown. but put it this way, i have ALOT of practice skinning fox this year. lol

Sets. I run a simple DH. thats it. maybe a flat here at there... but not very often. i like a deep dirt hole. 1 lure in the hole, fresh fox urine (from the fox i catch) on the backing. trap bedded well and tight to the hole. K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid. always works for me.

So were most of these caught on your own personal line, or were most from the ADC stuff you are doing? You've gotten a very nice haul of fox, congrats.

All the pics above are from my personal line. I have pics of my ADC catches but i really only talk about those pics out of season. lol during season i talk about my IN-season pics. lol

Just wondering, I know several people run an ADC line as well as a personal line during season. Congrats again.

i do a couple adc calls during season.. but not many. I usually do the ones that are easy or urgent during season. but the others usually wait till after season. I work full time. so between working and running my personal line, doing the big ADC jobs would just be too much. we dont get too many ADC calls this time of year anyways. spring and fall are the big months for ADC word around here.

congrats again on the fox catches. i caught my first two fox this year and i am gonna really focus on coyote and fox next year. how close do you set the pan in relation to the closest lip of the dirthole? i was going about 8-9 inces back and 1-2 inches offset.

trapperman82, if your making a fox set, i put my trap as close to the hole as possible. i point my dog to the left or right side of the whole but the trap itself is bedded so the strong jaw is tight to the front of the hole. i do not offset my fox sets. we dont have a whole lot of yotes out here but i do occassionally catch yotes in my fox set (as you can see in the pictures) i do not make an actual set for yotes because theres just not enough around to target and make sets for them that could potentially miss a fox. if you have more yotes then you do fox....i would offset my PAN 5-8inches back from the hole and left or right 3-5inchs. for fox and yotes, try not to use a really big backing. seems to be more effective with a smaller backing.

just make sure you make the pan the lowest spot in your set. its a way of telling the animal right where to step.
