I have to admit that the best thing about last season was having my son finally get into trapping. He caught 19 beaver through the ice after 3 short runs with me. He picked things up pretty quick and went out on his own while I was at work. That right there made the 2010/2011 season the most memorable for me! He was even cutting out castors & oil sacks and then making his own lure!

It is so good to be able to share with a child or even a friend and you will see as you go that your son will add to your knowledge by seeing some situations differently than you. I enjoyed many hours with my 2 sons and even though she didn't care to "touch" anything in the fur shed, my eldest daughter spent many hours with me as I skinned and stretched hides. She would record their weights and keep the wood heater stoked....and oh did we talk! She was about 9 and now she is 42.

Those are some dandy beaver TnH. That's cool that your son got into trapping with you. This will be my sons first year and I hope he gets into it like I do.
